Clare Valley SA ôCrikey. We know Taylors' reds tend toward the heroic û full-bodied really oaky lots of flavour and fruit and weight û but this is the most powerful and broad shouldered cabernet we can remember tasting from the Clare Valley winery. It's not all about power though: there's an undergrowthy even leafy elegance and a tight small berry finesse to this that we really liked and prevented it being just a monster. Rating: Bloody Good.ö Max Allen & Peter Forrestal Quaff 2004 û The Best Value Wines in Australia
